A Mother’s Day Thank You

Mother's Day celebrations with children running around and driving a mom crazy.

I hope this message finds you all well, and with a warm and heartfelt thank you, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to all the mothers, those who aspire to be, parents who have lost children, and those who were never able to have children. Your resilience and love keep the world spinning, and as a parent of two little ones myself, I deeply resonate with both the joys and challenges that come with parenthood and also a greater appreciation for my parents as well.

Lately, I’ve been fully immersed in the bustling life of raising children, taking full advantage of the beautiful weather. Instead of my usual writing or drawing, today is about giving my incredible wife the break she so richly deserves—and frankly, much more often.

She recently made a humorous yet insightful remark, apart from joking that I’d probably take on a bear if confronted: “Women need a break from their children on Mother’s Day, but men need to spend time with them on Father’s Day.” As embarrassing as it may be, I can’t argue with that.

Lastly, I am overwhelmed with gratitude as last night, The Art Nouveau Coloring Book: Hats, Cats, & Vintage Romance surpassed the milestone of 30 reviews, reaching a total of 31! This accomplishment is beyond my expectations and yesterday was nearly a record-setting day for book sales. Much of this success is thanks to the thoughtful gifts purchased for mothers and grandmothers on Mother’s Day. I truly hope you enjoy your presents.

Thank you so much and lots of love as always,

-Charlie
